It’s hard to encapsulate the depth of the bond I shared with Jackie, a remarkable woman who not only served as a coworker but also became a second mother to me. Our journey together began in the Conservation Services section of the Wildlife Division. I remember the day after passed I walked into the division for the first time in years. I remember walking up to the front counter and the lady looked at me and said. Your Wayne.. please come in and see everyone. I knew then that Jackie still talked about me like I never left. We had a lot of fun together. Over the years, our connection transcended workplace interactions. Despite my departure from the division over a decade ago, Jackie and I remained steadfast friends, weaving the fabric of our relationship through weekly conversations and occasional lunches. Her genuine interest in my life was a testament to her warm heart and unwavering support. Jackie wasn’t just a colleague; she was one of my biggest cheerleaders, celebrating my triumphs and offering solace during challenges. Our bond was so strong that she often joked about the conversations she imagined her and my mother having, sharing a special camaraderie that extended beyond professional realms. As I reflect on our memories together, I find solace in knowing that Jackie is now reunited with my mother, engaging in the conversations they once joked about. Jackie, your love, guidance, and unwavering support will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for being not only a coworker but a second mother to me while I was trying to find my way. Chris, Jason, Nathan, and the rest of the crew appreciated your mother bear protection. You are deeply missed, yet your spirit continues to put a smile on my face whenever I think about you. Rest easy Jackie..

Ben Hammett Every time I went to Corner Brook, I would make it a point of seeing Jackie and say Hi! And one would not make the effort if the person wasn’t special…Jackie was always so nice to me. We looked forward to seeing one another. We kept in touch over the years and she often contacted to ask a question and it was always something that would make my day. We last saw one another in 2015…I just missed her this time…can you imagine how careful we would all be if we knew which goodbyes were to be our last…I will miss you Jackie, au revoir et bon voyage sweet lady…

For some twenty years, until the College of North Atlantic, Gander, replaced me, I worked with one of the most dedicated, friendly, sincere individuals at the Dept and Govt I'd ever worked with. I referred so many clients to her, many of whom always came back to me, to thank me to have been helped by Jackie. She was such an honest, energetic worker. Sincere thoughts to Family and all who knew her. Edward Luff

My deepest condolences to Jackie's family. Jackie has been a co-worker and dear friend for 8 years. She brought so much joy and life to the building; you always knew when Jackie was at work due to her inability to use her "inside voice" and her witty comments. Once Jackie decided that you were one of her "people" she looked out for you above and beyond what was expected. I am glad to have been one of her people and I will miss her dearly.

To Jackie’s family, my sincere condolences. Over the last 12 years I have had the pleasure of working in the sane division, if on separate sides of the CB info I de. Calling the office and talking to Jackie could make your day. She was funny, and extremely protective and fond of those around her and she will be sorely missed.

I was in complete shock and disbelief when I learned of Jackie's passing, and to Jackie's family you have my sincere condolences, and to Jackie, I wish you were here now to read these words. I first met you in October 2003, and for approximately 18.5 years, you were my coworker/colleague and, more importantly, a great friend. We would talk about life, family, aboriginal issues, and aboriginal history. You knew how to laugh, your quick wit, and comments were always funny and genuine, and you were very kind to me from the beginning, and it was great to work with you. You cried when I went to another job, and even after, you would send me funny messages from time to time. I was always grateful for our friendship. You will be missed! Always and forever your friend Carl.

Deepest condolences to all of Jackie’s family and friends from my family and I. Jackie was one of the kindest, most generous people I have ever had the pleasure to know, and always put others first. While she tried her best to pretend she was tough, anyone who knew her saw her soft and caring heart through it. Momma Hen to most of us who worked closely with her, she was a protector and defender at all times…and loved to spoil our kids. We will truly miss her.

Growing up in Benoist Cove (Fox Point) and later part of Humber Arm South, which is a small community where everyone know most everyone, how could you not know Jackie. I remember that Mom (Genevieve Green), though the world of her. I truly got to know Jackie, while working at Fisheries, Forestry, and Agriculture. Wow! What can I say, she was usually the first to enter the building with her coffee, always smiling, she never passed without saying good morning, or good day and she had such a big heart. If there was something that Jackie could do to help, then Jackie was going to do it. I will always remember Jackie as one of the strongest women I have ever met. With each struggle she faced over the past few years, she faced it head on, continued to working full time, and always with a smile on her face. The world has lost a wonderful woman and Jackie will be always remembered for her infectious smile, kindness, and strength. God Bless. Darlene Noseworthy (nee Green)

To Jackie's family and friends, near and far, please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences on the sudden passing of Jackie. I had never met Jackie in person, but we had many conversations over the years about firearms and hunter education. Jackie was a wealth of knowledge and always so helpful, no matter how busy her day was, she always took time to explain things or to lend a helping hand. In our conversations, she often spoke of her family and it was apparent how much she loved them. I've heard many stories about their accomplishments and even the funny events! She was so proud of you all! I often heard stories of her working relationship with Nathan and Chris; she had such affection and respect for you both. Jackie will be missed by many! Rest in peace dear friend, Colleen Harris CNA-Gander Campus

Jackie we first met as children when our family use to visit your family in Frenchman Cove. I was afraid of you then. As we got older and Parks and Wildlife shared the office in Brakes Cove I started to pick on you (for fun). Now I am going to miss you. Until we meet again my friend (then we can pick on each other again).
