Robert , Verna & family we are so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Wishing that we could be there with you. Growing up in Port Saunders, the highlight of my summer was going to Corner Brook to spend time at Ron’s house. Verna we are very happy that we got to see you & Ron last summer. Of course we were met with big hugs & smiles. We did come to visit this summer ,however ,you were away. Maybe at your happy place in Howley as it was Labour Day weekend. Cherish your precious & may those memories bring you comfort as you face the days ahead . Rona & Pete

So sad to hear of Ronny’s passing. Always such a happy guy and loved running into him and Verna while out and about. I was too young to have played cards with him but always remember his presence at the cabin and parties at the house. Our condolences Verna and family! Jason Little and Christine Himmelman

Although we didn't spend much time together you were always in my heart and always will be. There is no mistake that you were one of a kind. I will always treasure your help on what ever hot rod I had in pieces in the back of your body shop. All good memories that I will cherish. RIP uncle and you won't be alone up there I know Dad is waiting for you for sure.

My deepest condolences to Verna and Ronnie’s family. I grew up in Humbermouth and have known him my whole life. I last saw him and Verna at Walmart and his smile was so warm and happy. He knew my parents, Cyril and Peggy Gillam, who he visited often while driving on Humber Road. I pray that your memories of him will help you all through this difficult time. God Bless you.

Rob and Nancy. We just learned of your dad’s passing and wanted to send our condolences. Mom and dad are living with us now in Glovertown and are sad that they can’t attend the funeral. They want you to know how thankful they are to have known Ronnie; he’s responsible for setting them up on a blind date 67 years ago. Dad has many wonderful memories of their friendship and growing up with all the Battens in Humbermouth. Please know we are thinking of you during this difficult time and we’re sending our love to you and your family. All the best, Jim & Ethel Simms and Deanna & Ray House.

Without reservation, Ronald was a good man. His heart was always in the right place. Others were there for Ronald because he was always there for others. He knew what to say and when not to say it. Laughter was his thing. His dedication was complete and his faith was sure. He lived a rich and full life devoid of any need for wealth and reputation, power and prestige. Ronald will always remain in our memories as someone who stopped to listen and who effectively responded to the needs of others. His attentiveness, in care and companionship, had no bounds. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ronald's family. During this time of sadness and emptiness, please remember that Ronald will be with you forever. And as actor David Carradine reminds us, "The extent of our love for our loved one is measured best when they are no longer around." Peace to one and all! Cordell & Penny Parsons
