Verna was a relative and friend. We spent many Christmas visits in Curling with Verna, Roy, Irvine and Gord. My Mom, Rowena referred to people of such high moral character like Verna as "True Blue". And she was.
Heather and I visited them almost every year and were welcomed lovingly.
A special thank you to Gord and Paulette for keeping us informed.

Q: What will you never forget about Verna?
A: We are from Ontario and we will always remember the delicious meals prepared lovingly for our family on our many trips back to Newfoundland. Then gathering around after dinner for a sing-a-long with Gordie and Roy on the guitar. Above all we will never forget Verna’s dedication to her family and especially her two boys Gordie and Irving. You will be missed my darling, it eases our pain to think of you in heaven with your first love and first born.
My sincere condolences to Gordon & Pollett Barrett,Verna was a wonderful person to everyone she had the privilege to meet,a gentle soul, great mom & good wife to Roy.RIP dear friend.
