Sending my deepest condolences to the family: Max, Bill and Betty. I have many a fond memory of the lady who I always referred to as simply Mrs Duffett, while growing up with Bill... I spent many an evening and occasional overnight at the "Duffett" residence where I was always welcomed and felt part of the family... and of course she would always check in on me to see if I was okay and my response was always the same.. "Perfect Mrs Duffett". Rest in peace sweet lady.. Morgan Austin

Sending my deepest condolences to you, Billy and your Father Max. Such sad news to hear of your mother, Winifred‘s passing. We were always so lucky to have great neighbours around us. And we were so fortunate to have the Duffett family being a large part of it. Losing a wife, a mother, must be the hardest thing. Find peace in reflecting upon the fondness of memories, as there are an abundance of those. Rest in Peace Winnifred, free from earthly burdens.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I would visit Winifred regularly at LTC and found her to be very attentive through worship services and always a smile, when I spoke to her. She was on my list of people to visit and I had a bit of a connection with her in the sense that my father knew her son Billy. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. May God give you comfort in knowing she is at peace. Rev. Alice Moores, HVGB United Church.

My heart goes out to the family. Mrs. Duffett (Winnie) was like a second mom to me. She welcomed me with warmth and kindness when Betty and I became friends many years ago, and I will always be grateful for that. Some of my favorite memories were sleepovers at the house, sitting around the table for supper, having wonderful chats about life, and just being part of the family. We shared so many laughs together, and I will always cherish those memories. She will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will miss her deeply. Sending all our love to Mr. Duffett, Betty, Billy and family. Dana, Sean and Megan Hynes

Where do I find the words and how can I express to others how much Winnie meant to my childhood. Countless meals, snacks, and sleep overs, there was always room at the family table and sleeping next to Betty. The most kindest, prettiest and down to earth lady you could ever meet. Our families were very close as my dad and Winnie came from the same town. When I grew older I found myself back into their home again when I met my future husband Jiim who spoke very fondly of Winnifred and Max, just like family. I will miss your smile and your laugh. Rest in Peace my sweetest second mom. Forever in my heart.

Our deepest condolences to Max, Bill, Betty and the entire Duffett family and close friends of Mrs. Duffett. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Duffett on the many trips to Labrador over the years and always felt welcomed in hers and Max’s home. It was clear that she certainly idolized her children and grandchildren. May she rest in peace. Sending our hugs and saying prayers for you all. Chris & Teresita Baldwin Portugal Cove-St. Phillips

So sorry for your great loss. I met Winnifred (Max) through my husband back in the late 80's and she is one you would never forget. She & Max would visit us here in Fredericton and there was nothing but a lot of laughs and fun. A fun loving sweet woman one of whom I will never forget. RIP Winnie and I am sure Paul will be greeting you on the other side....Sandi
