The family of the late Leah Scott would like to thank everyone who showed us so much kindness during such a difficult time.

The many gifts of food/cookies, donations, flowers, cards, condolence messages, visit at the funeral home and phone calls were greatly appreciated.

 

We would like to extend a special thank you to Rev David Russell who supported us and led us in prayer during Mom’s final moments.

A special thank you to Rev Canon Tanya White who delivered a beautiful service so fitting for our Mom, Organist Sandra Hounsell and members of the All Saints Church Choir who led the congregation in song at her funeral service. To both staff at Mountainview Retirement Home and Western Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care while Mom was waiting for a placement at Corner Brook Long Term Care, a sincere thank you. To all the staff on 2 South at Corner Brook Long Term Care, who provided such exceptional kindness and care to our Mom, you will truly always be in our hearts. Thank you to Mindy and the staff of Fillatres Funeral Home. Your professionalism and compassion was truly appreciated during this very difficult time. Lastly, a very special thank you to Dr David Coleman and staff, who provided exceptional care to Mom for many many years. She was truly, truly blessed to have you for a physician. You and your staff will always be remembered for the kindness and compassion extended to our entire family throughout the years.

 

A Mothers Love Is With Her Children For All Eternity! We hold you forever in our hearts and daily thoughts! We love you!

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of the late Leah Scott announce her passing surrounded by family at Corner Brook Long Term Care on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

 

Leaving to mourn her daughters: Pauline Tessier (Mel), Sherry Maxwell (Rod) and Holly Scott - Walsh (Frank); her three grandchildren: Leigh-Ann (Todd), Adrienne (Brent), all of Corner Brook and Scott of Musquodobit Harbour, NS; special cousin Irene Wiggins (Connecticut) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Predeceased by her husband Freeman in 1988, parents Thomas and Phyllis (Baines) Tucker, sisters Gladys Tucker, Harriet Cooper, brother Phillip Tucker, special cousin Sylvia Applin.

 

Special thank you to the angels that cared for Mom at Long Term Care on 2 South. You are very special people and the compassion you showed to her and all of us will never be forgotten.

 

A very special thank you to Dr. David Coleman who cared for Mom for many many years. As we walked through these last few difficult years of her life, your compassion and kindness for her and all of us was truly appreciated.

 

To honour and respect her wishes, cremation has taken place.

 

Public Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 - 9 pm at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. Family are requesting that visitors please wear a face covering. The funeral service on Wednesday, May 4 at 2 pm at All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.

 

As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
