The family of the late Dianne Bugden would like to express a sincere thank you to those who offered support at this difficult time. We appreciate the expressions of sympathy, phone calls, food, flowers, visits, prayers and donations to the Cancer Centre and Corner Brook Minor Hockey (girls hockey.)

We are so appreciative of the kind gestures and support of everyone in Corner Brook and beyond.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses who assisted in Dianne’s care over the time of her illness, especially the Cancer Center and the ICU at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. An extra special thank you to Dr. Bob O’Driscoll, for going above and beyond as her family doctor.

Thank you to the Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden and the Rev. Canon Tanya White of All Saints Anglican church for officiating the service for Dianne.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dianne Louise Bugden announce her passing on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 71 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 49 years Craig; daughter Carla Whittier (Conrad); son Stephen (Kelly); grandchildren: Claire and Max Whittier, Makayla, Anna and Maria Bugden; brother David Hilliard (Dianne Rose); sisters: Linda Payne (Scott) and Kimberley Strickland (Curtis); brothers and sisters-in-law: Kent (Paulette), Paul (Verna), Gary (Susie), John (Loretta) and Carolyn (Kevin); special nephew Andrew Strickland; aunt Wilhelmina Osmond; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her Card Club Girls of 46 years. She was predeceased by her parents William and Annie Hilliard, sister-in-law Vera Hilliard, parents-in-law Lloyd and Daisy Bugden. As per Dianne’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Canon Tanya White & Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Clinic, Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or Corner Brook Minor Hockey Female Division, etransfer.cbmha@gmail.com
