It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roland Blanchard announce his passing on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years.

Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Gloria; beloved sons: Rodney of Meadows and Wade (Debbie) of Ontario; beloved daughter: Loriann (Mark) of Grand Falls; precious grandchildren: Kayla, Melissa, Nathan, and Noah; brothers: Ernest (Claudine) of Meadows, Larry (Peggy) of Meadows, Jordy (Maureen) of Norris Point, Brian (Marie) of McIvers; sisters: Avril and Anita of Meadows, Jean Combdon of Jackson’s Arm; special aunt: Lena Bolt, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents: Arthur and Ethel Blanchard; brothers: Wilfred, Rendell, and Clayton; sisters: Olive, Isabel, and Una; brothers-in-law: Nelson Lovell, Garry Combdon, and David Hunt.

As per the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 22, from the hours of 7-9pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Meadows. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 2:00pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Meadows with Rev. George Critchell and Rev. Terry Loder officiating.
