It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winston David Dewling announce his passing on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook at the age of 71 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 46 years Valda; son Duane (Hayley); mother Muriel; brother Gary (Regina); sisters: Hazel (Rick), Brenda (Gary) and Mary (Brian); brother-in-law Calvin (Violet); sister-in-law Rhoda (Wayne); as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Harvey, parents-in-law Arthur and Aletha. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. from Memorial United Church in Curling with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Memorial United Church, Curling or a charity of one’s choice.
