Daniel Joseph Cammie

August 8, 1948 -December 30, 2024

It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Daniel Cammie announce his passing in the early hours of December 30, 2024 at the age of 76.

Dad had an extreme love for music, this was evident in his life through his involvement in many bands. The band that he was most proud of was the one he had with his girls, Diane and Donna.

His other passion was hockey. He spent countless hours driving to the rink and watching his boys, John and Jeff and was very proud of them. He felt such gratitude later in life when he got the opportunity to relive these moments at the rink watching his grandson play hockey. 

He was predeceased by his parents Bridget and Frederick Camus (Cammie); sister Mary (known as Mame) and brother-in-law Albert Hynes; brother-in-law Ken Companion.

Left to mourn with beautiful memories are his daughters Diane (Marc), Donna (Russ) and 2 sons John and Jeff; the mother of his children Leverne Cammie. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Danielle, Morgan, Luke, Matthew, Alissa-Rae, Lindsay-Ann, Cammie-Lee, Mitchell and Jenna; he also leaves his sisters: Isabelle (know as Joyce) Companion, Maureen (Don) McCarthy, Delores (Derek) Allen and special friend Stan Vincent SR. As well he will be remembered by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street during the hours 1:00 – 3:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
