It is with great sadness the family of Heather Esther White (nee Geddes) announces her peaceful passing on December 29, 2024 at Corner Brook Long Term Care.

Heather was born in Truro, Nova Scotia on May 7, 1941. She is predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Alice Geddes and her siblings, Betty and Bill. She will be fondly remembered by her sister, Beryl Gay, Truro, and her children, Patricia (Allan), Rodney (Sharon) and Tina (Mike). Dearest to her were her grandchildren, Kara, Trevor, Andrew (CaSaundra) and Kiersten (Garrett), all of whom will miss her dearly.

Heather was an avid curler, she loved playing and watching the sport throughout her life. Her other hobbies included tending to her garden, doing crosswords, and knitting, in particular baby clothing for WMRH Auxiliary. Most of all, Heather loved playing a round of her favorite card game, Cuss, with her family and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care, especially those working in “4 South” for the care and compassion they have shown Heather for the past two and a half years.

As per Heather’s wishes, cremation has taken place. At this time, there will be no viewing or service. The family is taking time to mourn and will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Diabetes Canada.
