Hughie Michael Wentzell

December 11, 1942 - February 4, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father on February 4th, 2025 of Portland Creek, NL at the age of 82 years.

Leaving to mourn his loving children: Michelle (David) and  Leon; his grandsons: Titus and Simeon; sister Charlotte Reid; brother Robert; sisters-in-law:  Madalyn, Maxine, Marie (Greg) and Bernice; brothers-in-law:  Rick (Theresa), Oscar; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends, especially Aster Caines.

Hughie was known for his dedication to his community, where he held the position as a Church Warden for many years.  Forever remembered, until we meet again.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Meda; parents Harrison and Leona Wentzell; his brothers:  Angus, Varrie and Simeon; brothers-in-law:  Charles Reid, Harvey Collett; parents-in-law Edward and Margaret Collett.

Visitation will be held at the St.  Joseph Anglican Church, in Portland Creek

Thursday, February  6, 2025 from 2pm -4pm & 7pm -9pm. 

Friday, February 7, 2025 from 2pm -4pm & 7pm-9pm

Funeral Service on Saturday, February 8, 2025 @ 2pm at the St.  Joseph Anglican Church in Portland Creek, NL with The Reverend Terry Rose officiating.  Interment to follow.
