Della Marie Howlett

February 16, 1970 – February 12, 2025

St. David’s, NL

It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the passing of Della M. Howlett (Shears) on February 12, 2025. She passed suddenly at home just four days short of her 55th birthday.

She is predeceased by her parents: Melvin and Marina Shears; sister: Carolyn Shears-Downey; brother: Steward Shears; nephew: Toby Legge. 

Leaving to mourn are, her sisters: Samantha (Eugene) Butler and Donna (Larry) Hueser; brothers: Darryl Shears, Warren Shears, Chris (Norma) Shears, and Cory (Roxanne) Shears; nieces and nephews: Madison (Dylan), Brady, Walter, Jenna, Blayne (Desiree), Steward, and Colby. Also, seven great nieces and nephews including her special great-nephew, Jiovanni. 

Della grew up in the town of Maidstone and remained close to there for her lifetime. She will forever be remembered by her friends and family for her kindness, courage, and generosity. Della will have a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Respecting Della’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Visitation, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. @ Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL. Burial on Thursday, February 20, 2025, 2:00 p.m., Anglican cemetery, St. David's, NL.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL
