Ruby Jane Eady

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Ruby Jane Eady on February 20, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on December 28, 1939, in L'Anse au Loup, she was the cherished daughter of Augustus and Victoria Ryland. Ruby gave her heart to the Lord on March 11, 1971, and her faith remained strong throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Eady, her parents, Augustus and Victoria Ryland, her sisters, Greta Ryland and Maria White, and her brother, Clifford Ryland. Ruby’s greatest joy was her family, and though she is no longer with us, her love will always remain in our hearts.

Her children lovingly remember her: Barton (Ros), Norma (Normand), Barry (Marejo), Junior (Cindy), Donna (Tony), Jill (Harold), and Joan (David). She also leaves behind her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy: Joanne (Daniel), Jolene (Chad), Jason (Sonya), Conway (Zina), Monique, Brian (Cassandra), Leann (Harry), Marc (Sharayah), Crystal (Clark), Ryan, Franziska, and Nicholas, along with Kaitlyn, Chloe, Carlie, Sophia, Paige, Kaleb, Brady, Easton, Preston, Anna, Samuel, Thomas, Otis, Ellie, Theo, Brooklyn, Ethan, Benson, Brielle and Logan; sisters Ella, Georgina and Emily, brothers Garfield and Hedley. 

Ruby was a woman of faith, strength, and love. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Long-Term Care Unit in Forteau for their exceptional care and support during Ruby’s time with them.

A celebration of Ruby’s life will take place on February 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the L'Anse au Loup Gospel Hall. All who knew and loved Ruby are welcome to join us in honoring her memory.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love and guidance will remain with us always.
