Obituary of Helen Hart

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helen Hart announce her passing on February 25^th, 2025, at the Labrador Health Center in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, at the age of 67 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband: David Hart; children: David Hart Jr. (Natasha), Eugene Hart (Valerie), Paulette Hart (Miles), & John Hart (Meech); sister: Julianna Hill (Robin), Janet Michel, and Mary Ann Penashue; brother: Johnny Rich; grandchildren: Ashleigh Cole, Jaden Martin, Sally Martin, Raine Hart, Keira Hart, Paul Rich, Jordan Hart, Rumour Hart, Nishapet Andrew, Rhianna Kieser, Nolan Kieser, Brynlee Hart, Kallum Hart, TJ Hart, Isaac Hart, & Taima Hart; great-grandchildren: Jada Martin, Daya Martin, Uapastan Martin, Jaden Jr. Martin, Layna Rich, Felix Martin, & Livia Hart-Labbé; As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Helen was predeceased by her parents: Mary & Michel Pasteen; daughter: Marilyn Martin; brothers: Jerome Pone, Mathias Pone, & Simeon Pasteen; sisters: Elizabeth Pokue, Margaret Rich, Naissa Penashue, Aniette Nuna, Mary Theresa Pasteen, & Mary Josette Pasteen; and grandchild: Uapastan Martin.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Thursday, February 27^th, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.. A wake will take place the following day Friday, February 28^th at the CYN in Sheshatshiu, NL beginning at 4:00 p.m..

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1^st from the Roman Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu, NL, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Father Joe officiating.
