Randall “Randy” Alexander
St. George's, NL
September 28, 1961 - March 3, 2025
It is with immense sadness that the family announce the passing of Randall “Randy” Alexander, a beloved father, brother and friend on March 3, 2025, at the Health Sciences Center, in St. John’s, at the age of 63 years.
He leaves to mourn with many loving memories: His beloved son, Myles (Samantha), who he cherished deeply; sister, Shirley Dillon (Paul), nieces: Derri-lynn Sleeps, Marie Locke (Hurley), and Neila (Alexander-Rosato), and mother to his child, Paulette (Walters), as well as a large circle of great nephews, nieces, extended relatives and friends.
Randy was predeceased by his parents, Gerard and Viola Alexander, brother Derry, and sister Donna.
Born and raised in Labrador City, Randy quickly grew to love and embrace the cold, outdoor life of downhill skiing and hockey. When he moved to St. Georges, his love of the game, kept him quite satiated during the Winter months with cheers for his favourite Montreal team. Randy’s love for playing and listening to music was great, and whenever he had drumsticks in his hands, his talent showed. His love of and for animals was strong, and for most of his life there was a stray/rescue cat or dog by his side to be loved.
Although our hearts are broken, Randy’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Saturday, March 8, 2025, between the hours of 1:00-3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
“Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true"
