Obituary of Rose Marie Rich

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Marie Rich announce her passing on March 5, 2025, at St. Clare’s Hospital, St. John’s, NL, at the age of 55 years. Rose was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She graced this world with her unyielding love, fierce spirit and quiet humility.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Ann Philomena Rich, Kristen Piwas, Patrick Toma, Aaron Piun Rich and Kyla Toma; grandchildren: Alicia Rich, Anthony Rich, Shaylene Seymour, Shaddow Rich and Lola Rich; mother: Marie Adele Rich; siblings: Andrew Rich, Raphael Rich, Patricia Rich, Loretta Piwas, Sebastien Rich, Mary Margaret Rich, Irene Rich, Delphina Rich and Mary Madeline Rich; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends and neighbours.

Rose was predeceased by her father: Edward Rich; and siblings: Elizabeth Rich and Aaron Rich.

Rose was a woman of unwavering conviction, known for speaking her mind with honesty and grace. Her heart overflowed with unconditional love for her children and grandchildren, whom she fiercely protected and cherished above all else. To her family, she was a beacon of strength, warmth, and devotion. Rose was the foundation of her family.

Rose was easily loved by all who knew her. She enriched the lives of countless friends with her kindness, humor, and wisdom. Her vibrant presence and genuine soul made her a cherished companion to many. She leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and an unshakeable bond with those she held dear. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation will be held at Fillatre Funeral Homes on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, from the hours of 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
