July 9, 1940 - March 15, 2025

 

 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sophia Keating announce her passing on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 84 years.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories her daughters: Lorraine Legge, Sharon Zernie of Stephenville Crossing, Desiree Bennett, Stephenville, Sons: Nigel Bennett, Stephenville Crossing, Jason (Lisa) Bennett, Rodney ( Nicole) Bennett, Ontario, Desmond Keating, Ontario, siblings:  Eileen Matthews, Gerry Marche, Laverna White, Corina Bennett, Melvina Simon all of Ontaria, Linda Finnerty, Myra Rogers both from Kentucky, US as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband Hughie Keating; daughter Lorise Nardini, son Keith Bennett and by her parents Albert and Annie Marche, sisters:  Dorothy Jesso, Madonna Marche, brothers:  Donald Marche, Fintan Marche and Gary Marche.

As per family wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
