It is with great sadness that the family of the late Beryl Williams announce her passing on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook in her 90th year.
Beryl Williams was born on May 9, 1934 at Jim’s Cove to William & Lillian Roberts. She received her early education in her hometown. She began her working career at a Hotel in Lewisporte but spent most of her life as a homemaker where she lovingly cared for all the needs of her family.
She married the love of her life, Bronson Williams of Card’s Harbour on September 05, 1951 and they were blessed with a family of nine children. She committed her life to Christ at a young age in the Salvation Army and experienced and embraced the Pentecostal message when she came in contact with the DJ Williams family. Bronson & Beryl entered ministry with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland & Labrador and served in the assemblies of Pacquet and Mile’s Cove , before relocation to Deer Lake in 1957. She has been a faithful member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church for 68 years where she served as Sunday School teacher, VBS leader and on the Women’s Ministries leadership team. For many years Bronson & Beryl served with the Gideons International Ministry. She had a great faith in God that remained firm until the end. Beryl loved knitting, sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. She was known a hostess and her home was open to many visiting pastors who referred to their home as “Williams Hotel.” She loved providing meals for those who were less fortunate than herself and would show kindness to those in need. She has spent the last number of years as a resident of the Deer Lake Manor and appreciated the love and kindness shown to her by management and staff.
