Ellis Goodyear Obituary

Ellis Goodyear passed away with his family by his side on March 4, 2025, at the age of 82 years.

Remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife, Audrey (nee Lodge); children, Deborah (David) Smyth of Okanagan Falls, BC, and their extended families; and Alisa Goodyear (Geoffery Askew) of Pokolbin, Australia, and their extended families; grandchild, Adam Legge (Cynthia Wright); great-grandchild, Lincoln Legge; step great-grandchildren, Ella Smyth, Kael Smyth, and Cooper Askew; siblings, Alex Goodyear of Sechelt, BC, and Sylvia Osmond of Corner Brook, NL; as well as his many nieces, nephews, and family friends, in particular, Sherwood Brocke.

Sadly predeceased by his father, Wilson Goodyear; his mother, Alice Goodyear (nee Goobie); his father-in-law, Gordon Lodge; and his mother-in-law, Evelyn Lodge (Nee Newbury).

A talented woodworker, Ellis was always happy to share his vast knowledge of woodworking, inspiring many with his skills and patience. Known for his great sense of humor and strength of character, Ellis was a beloved friend and family member. His love for his family and friends was unwavering, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
