Obituary of Betty Eileen Porter

Betty Eileen Porter, Mount Moriah, N.L.

November 30, 1940 - April 1, 2025

It is with tremendous sadness and loving memories that the family of the late Betty Eileen Porter announce her passing at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Lloyd Porter, on September 24, 2019, at the age of 84 years.

Leaving to mourn four sons Glen (Christine), Bryan (Moira), Richard, and Darrell (Chante)l; 14 grandchildren Lindsay, Taryn, Logan, Cole, Alexandra, Thomas, Paul, Michael, Richard, Jennifer, Bryan, Taylor, Carter and Jeffrey, and 17 great grandchildren; brothers Cyril Jones (Monda) and Ron Skanes (Joyce), as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Effie Jones, brothers Guy, Lorne, Wilson, Hayward (Junior) and sisters Marie, Jane and Barbara. Cremation to take place with no visitation but an interment service for family at a future date.

The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the many nurses and staff at Raspberry Lane, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home, whose care, compassion and love of our mother did not go unnoticed. Thank you to all who were involved in mom's life and created so many happy times for her over the years.
