It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Rowena (Vaters) Hookey announce her passing on April 9, 2025 at the age of 99.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband Hap Vater and her 2nd husband Sterling Hookey and her grandson Adam Taylor. As well as parents Wesley and Gertie Penney and all her brothers and sisters.
Her memory will live on through her daughter Arlene Taylor; grandsons Brad Taylor and wife Carla and their children Evan and Gavin; Barry Taylor and wife Morgan and their children Presley, Sonny and Stevie; also step-children Nancy and Bob and their extended families.
She had a wonderful long life and will be missed dearly. She was a very special lady, small in stature but strong in many ways. One doesn’t live to be 99 without being strong.
As per her request, cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be at a later date.
