Obituary of Steven George Maxwell

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late George (Steven) Maxwell of Lark Harbour announce his peaceful passing on April 9, 2025, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 51st year.

Steven was predeceased by his mother, Marion (nee Sheppard); father, George; and sister, Judy. Left to mourn and miss him eternally are his siblings: brother, Barry (Alison); sister, Karla Howard (Bill); brother, Bob (Kim); nieces, Avery and Erin and nephew, Lucas, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and support workers who took such wonderful care of him over the years.

The Maxwell family would like to express sincere gratitude to uncle, Myles; aunt Ruth; cousin, Karalee; the entire Sheppard family and Nicole Wilson, who loved and cared for Steven like their own. The family would also like to thank the Western Memorial Regional Hospital staff for the amazing care and compassion shown to Steven and his family.

Steven's infectious smile spread sunshine and love to all those who knew him. He is now in the loving arms of his parents and forever dancing with the angels. Visitation will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour on Monday, April 14th from 7-8 pm followed by family service from 8-9 pm. The funeral service is Tuesday April 15th at 2:00 pm with Rev. Effie Organ officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
