Obituary of Rosamond Ella Watts
Please share a memory of Rosamond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with a tremendous feeling of loss that the family of Rosamond Watts announce her passing on 12 April 2025 at the age of 85 years, after a short battle with cancer. She died at her home with loved ones at her side.
Left with many loving and fun memories are brother Robert Watts, sister-in-law Isobel Watts, sisters Marjorie Sullivan and Evelyn Jubber, brother-in-law Francis Clarke and a large circle of caring nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by her great-niece and -nephew Annie and Matthew, whom she doted on as another grandma.
Rosamond was predeceased by her parents Jack and Annie Watts, her brother Ronald, sisters June and Doris, sister-in-law Beatrice and brothers-in-law Len, Charlie and Normand.
Rosamond was so many things to so many people. She was a strong, loving family member. She was a loyal friend. She was constantly there for community events, with her presence and in donating baked goods and handmade crafts. During her career, she was a dedicated nurse who cared for scores of people in this area and beyond. She was a very kind and giving person, who quietly looked out for others, whether family or not. Rosamond was extremely hardworking and industrious. She was smart and had a very inquisitive mind. She cared about people and loved to hear the latest news around town. Rosamond was always active and appeared years younger than her age. A few of the things that gave her enjoyment were her daily walks around town, knitting, baking, reading and catching up and sharing laughter with her many friends.
Rosamond’s family would like to thank those who have extended caring and condolences to us at this difficult time. Special thanks go out to Dr. Curran who always treated Rosamond with respect and kindness, as well as to the End of Life team that provided the family with the supports necessary to keep Rosamond in the home that she loved.
Respecting Rosamond’s wishes, there will be no funeral; however, a graveside service will be held at a later date.
