Card of Thanks

The family of the late Gary Seaward would like to extend a sincere thank you to the many people who supported us during this very sad and difficult time. Thank you for all the visits, phone calls, messages, cards, food, flowers, monetary gifts, and donations made to the WMRH Palliative Care Unit in Gary’s memory.

Our deepest thanks to everyone who attended the visitation and funeral mass. A sincere thank you to Father Lainey for officiating both the service at the funeral home, and the funeral mass. The funeral mass was beautiful, and your words captured his spirit perfectly. Thank you for helping us honor Gary’s life in such a meaningful way. Also, we would like to acknowledge the Griffin Family for your beautiful music- the singing and instruments brought so much comfort to us during this difficult time, and added so much to the mass. Thank you!

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the medical staff who cared for Gary along his cancer journey. To Dr. Shanda Slipp, Dr. Nancy Zhou, Dr. Morvarid Fourazani, Dr. Jonathan Greenland, and to Dr. Jennifer Lombard – we will be forever grateful for your excellent care and support.

A special thank you as well to the Western Palliative Care Team, including Dr. Kate Lafferty, Community Health Nurse Coady LaFosse, Dr. Jocelyn Boley, and the nursing staff of the palliative care unit- you each went above and beyond in your excellent care, compassion, and support of us all. There are no words to express how thankful we are to each of you. Also, much thanks are extended to Father Terry for your visits with Gary while in Palliative Care which brought him so much peace.

To Laura and the staff of Fillatre’s Funeral Home, we cannot thank you enough for your support, kindness, and professionalism. You took care of every detail, and went above and beyond to ensure things were perfect for us (and they certainly were). From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
