It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Humphries (nee Barter) announce her passing on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her son Alexander, stepchildren: Olga (Daniel), Elaine (Boyd), Leone (Jim), Glenda (Warren-deceased), Alfred (Doreen), Harold (Genevieve), Colin (Linda), Terry (Eileen), a large number of step grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and her beloved pet companion whom she loved, Tia.

She is predeceased by her husband Alfred, parents Arthur and Elsie Barter. Elsie was the last surviving member of her family, and was predeceased by her siblings, Ada (Gene), Mary (Garfield), Rita, Art (Ethel), San (Lil), Myra (Alex), Fred (Joan).

Family and friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 from 12 PM to 2 PM, followed immediately by the funeral service at 2pm, with Reverend Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery.
