Goose Bay, NL on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Fillatre Funeral

Margaret was born in Roddickton, NL to Dorman and Bertha Randell of Williamsport, NL on August 26,
1951. She grew up in Roddickton, NL and moved to Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador in 1972 to live
with her sister Alma and brother-in-law Dave and their children Sean, Leon and Lori-Ann. It was there
she met her husband and years later moved to Churchill Falls in 1980 and spent 30 years building a life
together and raising her children. When you live in Churchill Falls, your friends become the family you
choose, and Margaret had no shortage of friends as she was blessed with many special and close friends.
She always made it a priority to keep in touch with her family and friends, no matter the distance or time
that had gone by. Margaret could always lighten any situation with laughter by sharing a funny story,
joke or gag. To know her was to laugh.

She leaves to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Hubert Burden and leaves with fond
and loving memories, her children: Ricky (Bev), Cathy, Todd (Naomi), Sabrina (Phil); grandchildren:
Joshua, Victoria, Alex (Gillian), Thomas, Matthew, Norah-Lynn, Kendra and Faith; step-grandchildren;
Jamie, Jenelle and Brett; and her only brother Hiram “Brod” Randell and sisters Mildred Campbell and
Alma Hynes. She also leaves to mourn a large circle of family and friends.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents: Dorman and Bertha Randell; and sisters Jessie, Rowena,
Joyce and Ethel.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, Newfoundland &
Labrador, 1081 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 5G1 or at https://www.chha-nl.ca/donate.
