It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matilda Winters announce her passing on April 24th, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 69 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband: Alfred Winters; children: George, Beverly, Roderick, Clarence and Albert; grandchildren: Alisha Watkins, Louisa Okkuatsiak, Mackenzie Winters, Aria Clark, Julia Abel, Arrianna Abel and Harley Abel; brothers: Gus Joshua, Philip Abel, and Albert Abel; sisters: Emily Abel, Kitty Abel and Sarah Abel; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Matilda was predeceased by her parents: George Abel and Louisa Joshua; son: Freddy Winters; and sister: Sukie Aggek.

The funeral will be held at the Moravian Church, Hopedale, NL. Date and time to be announced.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL
