It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean Betty Poole announce her passing on May 1, 2025 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s at the age of 74.
Jean was a loving and caring women who loved to laugh and have fun. She loved to tell stories and spend time with her family. Some of her favorite pass times were knitting, fishing and berry picking. She had a generous and kind heart who had a deep love for her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Norman Poole, her parents Roy and Hazel Penney and her siblings Ivy Warren, Peggy Earle, and Martin Penney.
Leaving to mourn are her children Yvonne (David), Christopher (Nicole), Oliver (Samantha) Melanie (Toby), Gavin (Amanda). grandchildren Brianna, Allison, Evan, Ethan, Elias, Hayden, Mila, Emma, Eden, Xenia and Zoe. Brothers Lloyd, Wilfred, John, Oliver, and Clayton, sisters Lydia, Nita, Miriam and Ada. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held May 6, at 2:00 PM at the Anglican Church in St. Lewis.
