Robert (Bob) was blessed with 93 years on this earth and what wonderful years they were. He didn’t stop. You could always find him in his shed fiddling around doing something, clearing snow, fixing roofs, or watching a good ol hockey game-the Toronto Maple Leaf’s was his team.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper in his day. He was also a skilled carpenter and could fix anything he put his hands on. If he didn’t  know how to fix it, he would figure it out. Throughout his life chapters he spent much time in Cartwright, Paradise River, and Pack’s Harbor. All special places with deep family connections. He has passed down these connections to his family who share his values and the importance of living off and using the land in a great way.

He was a quiet and humble man. A man of few words but wise and extremely intelligent. Anyone who met him will share of his kindness and calm demeanor. Overall, a wonderful person.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to be a part of his world. Things seem a little dark right now, but with darkness comes light and we will all live on through him and all that he brought to this life.

Many thanks to Dr. Dillon who was so kind and compassionate and ensured he received the care he required. Dr. Waylan for your care once he was admitted to long-term care. Emily Fox, there are no words to express our thanks to you for your kindness as we went through his last chapter of life. Megan Healy, your kindness, and advocacy will never be forgotten. To all the nurses, kitchen staff, cleaners, etc. for your care, kindness, and compassion during his time in long-term care. We were blessed to know he was well taken care of and loved.
