Obituary of Samuel Pottle

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel William Pottle announce his passing on Sunday, May 4^th, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, at the age of 85 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Cassidy (Carmen), Warren (Sherry), Robin (Rachel), Robert (Stephanie), Chesley; step children: Darlene (Gerard), Robin, and Jamie (Daisy); grandchildren: Julie, Matthew, Jeremy, Adara, Cassandra, Leah, Micah, Katelin and Kirsten; foster children: Silas, James, Daniel, Jefta and Joseph; sister: Edna Hillier; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Samuel was predeceased by his wife: Gladys; parents: Gordon and Jane; sister: Sadie Jenkins; and brother-in-law: Gerald Hillier.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Thursday, May 8^th, 2025, from 2:00- 4:00 pm for family and 7:00 – 9:00 pm for the public.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9^th, 2025, from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church starting at 2:00 pm with Rev Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. Refreshments to follow at the Salvation Army Citadel.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff and residents of Assisted Living, along with the church family for their support and prayers during this emotional time.
