William "Bill" Clarence Brake
December 16, 1935 - May 15, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of the late William “Bill” Clarence Brake announce his sudden passing at the Long-Term Health Care Center in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 89. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his four children: Barry (Nina), Elaine (Mike) Lynch, Paulette Fitzgerald (Danny McKinnon), and Colleen Crocker; five grandchildren: Sherry Lynn (Greg) Brake, Jason Brake, Colin (Christy) Lynch, Lori (Paul) Riley, and Bradley Crocker, and five great-grandchildren: Darcy Brake, Keegan Lynch, Payton Brake, Gus Riley, and Mae Riley. He is also survived by one brother, David (Dorothy), many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Mary “Molly,” in 2017; and siblings, Jean, Kevin, Mike, Alloysius, Theresa, and Bernard.
He will be remembered for his kind and friendly disposition, as well as his endless stories of his trucking days.
Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on 218 Curling Street between the hours of 2 – 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Funeral service will take place at Sacred Heart Church at 465 Curling Street on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Father Lainey officiating, with interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Parish.
