It is with great sadness that the family of the late Betty Nuke announce her passing on May 22nd, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 51 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Mary Nuke-Obed, Katelyn Nuke, Michelle Nuke, & Patricia Nuke; sons-in-law: Justin Pinette, Christopher Rich, & Boas Obed; brothers: Merlin & Francis Rich; sisters: Karen & Shirley Rich; grandchildren: Patrick, Selena, Tracey, Priya, Chase, Ava, & Mantiskuess; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Betty is predeceased by her husband: Patrick Nuke; parents: Matthew & Germaine Rich; son: Joachim James Nuke; brother: Ben Rich; sister: Tracy Rich; and grandparents: Ben & Lucy Rich and Philip & Ann Philomena Selma.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Saturday, May 24th between the hours of 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A wake will be held at 14A Mckenzie Drive in Sheshatshiu on Sunday, May 25th. The funeral service will take place on Monday, May 26th at the Roman Catholic church in Sheshatshiu beginning at 1:00pm with Father Joe officiating. Interment will directly follow the service in the Sheshatshiu Roman Catholic Cemetery.
