Obituary of Wilfred Mouland

Heartbroken to announce the passing of my husband Wilf Mouland of Hawkes Bay on May 24,2025.

Born on February 27, 1943 in Bonavista Newfoundland he spent his early years in that area. He left home at 18 years of age to go to Hawkes Bay to teach school. He later became a Pentecostal preacher and by the age of 22 was running a regional gas distribution centre for golden eagle in Hawkes Bay. By the age of 30, he started a very successful business which survived three economic recessions under his leadership. The business still stands today and is well known as "Top 10" or "Wilfs". Wilf was known for his strong work ethic and was still showing up at work just a few short days before he passed. He was affectionately known in Newfoundland as a kind and compassionate business leader. To his family, he was absolutely the best husband and father and gave so many gifts of kindness and love to those he held dearly. He was kind, gentle, nonjudgmental, and gave so much to everyone without expectation of recognition or accolades.

Left with wonderful loving memories are his wife Janet, 3 boys that he adored Dion (Colin), "dear little" Dana, and Dwayne (Candice). He will also be sorely missed by many in-laws, family, and friends who he adored, and they adored him. The family wants to extend the most sincere appreciation for the wonderful care he got in the short time he was at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre. Donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.

Visitation will be held at  Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle in Hawke's Bay Monday, May 26 and Tuesday, May 27 from 2:00pm - 9:00pm, followed by the Funeral Service Wednesday May 28th at 2:00 pm, Pastors Glen and Enid Chaulk officiating. 

The funeral service will be live streamed if sufficient internet is available. In the event the connection is not adequate to livestream, the service will be recorded and uploaded to Forget Me Not Ceremonies platform and will be available to view Thursday afternoon.
