It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Blanchard announce his passing at the Bay. St. George Long Term Care Centre on Saturday, June 14^th at the age of 94 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: David, Richard (Sharon) , Statia (Rob), Walter (Christine) and Grace (Tim); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; his dear sisters- in-law, Grace White and Shirley Blanchard; brother-in-law Jerome Colombe. He leaves behind a large extended family of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Lucy; parents Walter and Margaret; brothers: Eve, Maurice and Ronnie; sisters: Louise, Geraldine, Leona and Grace.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 18^th 2-4 pm and 7-9pm at the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s from where the funeral mass will take place on Thursday, June 19^th 10:00 am with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.

Interment to follow at the church cemetery, Shallop Cove.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the B.S.G.L.T Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing for their compassionate care and support.
