Iris Elaine Hoddinott
July 25, 1943 – June 24, 2025
It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Iris Hoddinott at the age of 81.
Left to mourn is her husband Rendell; her children Lisa (Louis McDonald), Lori, Nancy (Paul Wells) and Patti (Corey White); her grandchildren Brandi, Diana, Hannah and Sam; and her great grandchildren Mara and Cohen. She also leaves to mourn her brothers Eddie (Loretta) Seaward, Eric (Beverly) Seaward, Paul (Rhonda) Seaward and many nieces and nephews.
Iris was predeceased by her parents Harry and Phyllis Seaward.
Iris enjoyed meeting and talking with people. She flourished through her work at the Deer Lake Public Library and with the United Church Women.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of the Cancer Care program for their kindness and care over the course of her illness.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held on June 27, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Provincial Information and Library Resources Board or St. Paul’s United Church Deer Lake.
