Obituary of Pien Pone
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pien Pone announce his passing on June 26th, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 60 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Jerome Pokue (Emma), Theresa Pone, Benoit Pone (Melinda), Sheena Pone (Patrick), Jessica Pone, Ann Theresa Pone, Tyrone Pone and Damiana Pone; brothers: Tommy Pone, Ponas Pone and Etienne Pone; sisters: Julianna Pone, Nancy Pone and Ann Philomena Penashue; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pien was predeceased by his wife: Catherine Pone; brothers: Matthew, Charlie and Simeon; and sister: Monique Pone.
Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, from 7:00- 9:00 pm.
The wake will be at CYN, Sheshatshiu, NL on Sunday, June 29th, 2025, starting at 3:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th, 2025 at the Roman Catholic Church, Sheshatshiu, NL starting at 11:00 am with Father Joe officiating.
