Very sorry to hear about Clyde’s passing.
It has been a long time since he and a few of us other stragglers explored the woods, fields and beaches from Port Saunders to River of Ponds, but I will always remember his gentle demeanour and his larger than life sense of humour.
I had an opportunity to catch up with him some years back and it seemed as if time had stood still for 40 to 50 years. He had the same gentle demeanour and his larger than life sense of humour was as alive as ever.
We chatted about life, the good and the bad, and how fast time seemed to pass. And then we chatted about our common belief in God, the how in the end, that was what mattered most.
I am thankful that I knew Clyde, and that he was my friend. And I am happy that we (two far from perfect humans) will see one another again. Thanks to a loving and forgiving God.
