It is with great sadness that the family of the late Katie Emma Winters announce her passing on the
morning of July 13, 2025 in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 88.


Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters: Elizabeth, Mary (Leo), Nancy, Beatrice,
and Evelyn; son: Willie; daughter-in-law: Edna; sister: Sarah Leo; and brother: Richard Leo. She also
leaves 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews,
extended family, and friends.


Katie was predeceased by her father: Henry Voisey; mother: Bella Leo (nee: Winters Voisey); step-father:
Abel Leo; husband: William Winters; sons: Arthur and Alfred; daughter: Alvina; brother: Donald Voisey; and 5
grandchildren.


The funeral service will be announced at a later date.
