CARD OF THANKS
The family of the late Ralph Lorne Tilley would like to extend a sincere thank you to the many family and friends who supported us during this very sad and difficult time. Thank you for all the visits, phone calls, messages, shared stories, cards, food, flowers, and donations made to St. George’s Anglican Church in Lorne’s memory.
Our deepest thanks to everyone who attended Lorne’s funeral service. A sincere thank you to Reverand Norman Cutler for your thoughtful and meaningful words and the Ladies of the St. George’s Anglican Church Vestry who catered to a lovely reception after the service.
A special mention to the Three Rivers and Stephenville Paramedic crews, and the Bay St. George/Stephenville RCMP officers for their exceptional service. A very special thank you to Scott MacPherson, Kathryn Elton and Robin Laing for their amazing care and support in these most difficult of times.

Ralph Lorne Tilley
April 30, 1936 – July 15, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ralph Lorne Tilley, 89, on July 15, 2025, in Robinsons, NL.
Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie (nee Sheppard); his devoted children, Wendy and Susanne (Brian); and his two beloved grandchildren, Michael and Samuel. He is also survived by his loving sisters Ellen (Calvin), Reneé, Carole and Sandra (Mel), sisters-in-law Anne and Hazel as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel Godden and Josephine Tilley, brothers Godden Rodney (Buster), Calvin, Lloyd, sister Yvonne, brothers in law Allan Parsons, Edward Penney, Al Crayden, sister-in-law Charlene, niece Michelle, nephew Christopher and great nephew Jonathan.
Lorne spent over 30 years working for Provincial Agriculture and in his retirement enjoyed spending time at the cabin with family. He enjoyed nurturing his annual tomato crop and feeding his little chipmunk friends. Visits by friends were always welcomed along with a good game of cards with a little cheating.
A burial service will be held on July 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. George’s Anglican Church Cemetery in Robinsons with a reception to follow at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. George’s Anglican Church (Robinson’s) will be gratefully accepted.
