Passed away peacefully at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her loving family, Beulah McLean, aged 88 years. She was a kind, caring, vibrant, independent lady, devoted to her family, friends and church. She was born in Herring Neck, moved to Corner Brook as a young woman and worked at various jobs, including Goodyear and House where she met her husband Allan. Leaving to mourn, sons: Laurie (Cheryl), St. John’s; Berkley, Ottawa; Darren (Sally), Calgary; and daughter Kimberley McLean, Prince George, B.C.; and her much beloved grandson Daniel McLean, St. John’s; brother Bert Young and sister Gloria (Peter) Vincent; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Allan, parents William and Lucy Young and brother Goodwin. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. John van Vliet officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Society.
