Madeline Huxter

April 28^th, 1944 – July 19^th, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Madeline Huxter, at Corner Brook Long Term Care, at the age of 81.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories is Keith her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, her children Todd (Irene), Pennie (Terry), Barry (Shona), and Jody (Noemi); grandchildren Lacey (Colin), Alicia (Adam), Ashley (Erik), Hailey, Candyce (Connor), Evey and Chance. She also leaves to mourn sister Mary and brothers-and-sisters-in-law Sheila, Curtis (Marion), Joan (Bruce), Jim, Anna Marie and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Madeline was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Florence Power; parents-in-law George and Flora Huxter; siblings Gordon, Hannah, Sheila, Meta and Dorothy; brothers-and-sisters-in-law Ted, John, Shirley, Nelson and Harold.

The family would like to thank the staff of 4 North for their outstanding kindness, compassion and care given to Madeline during her stay at Corner Brook Long Term Care.

In keeping with Madeline’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Thursday, July 24^th, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral Services to take place at Curling United Church, on Friday, July 25^th at 1:00 PM. Interment to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Corner Brook Long Term Care or a Charity of one’s choice.
