Allan Raymond Davis

April 8, 1963 - July 27, 2025

Mount Moriah, NL 

Allan Raymond (Ray) Davis passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 27^th at the age of 62 years, with his loving wife at his side.

Leaving to mourn are his wife Kathy and daughter Angela, along with his brothers and sisters Verna (Ewen), Lorna, Marion (Tim), Marina (Dave), Donna (Matthew), David, Cathy, Paul, Gerry, Stephen (Warren) and Bernard (Sonya), as well as in-laws Dianne, Denise (Rob), Linda (Nick), Bill (Jenny) and father-in-law Pat Leonard.   He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Monty Brown and Gordie Parsons.

He was predeceased by his parents Horace and Evelyn Davis, brother Charles, and mother-in-law Sue Leonard.

Ray was a man of the land and sea.  He was at home and happy in the woods, at the cabin on Big Island, and with Kathy and friends at their trailer in No Name Brook Campground.  Family was everything to him.  He was a loyal husband and great dad who was so proud of his daughter’s accomplishments.   He was a true friend; always kind, generous and eager to help those around him.

The family would like to thank the strangers who stopped by at the scene to do what they could to try and save him, as well as the Hampden and Deer Lake paramedics and RCMP who were so compassionate at such a difficult time.

Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday, July 30^th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed immediately by the funeral service at 4:00 with Reverend David Taylor officiating. Cremation to follow.
