Obituary of Marina Best
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marina Mary Best (nee: Hopkins) announce her passing on July 30th, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre, NL at the age of 81 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Doug (Cynthia), Shirley (Stan), Pat, Marcel and Teresa; grandchildren: Toni, Stephanie, Samantha, Chelsea, Brooke, Gareth, and Kobe; great grandchildren: Aiden, Brooklyn, Ally, Emileé, Peyson, Quinn, Maria, Carter, Axel, Colton, and Oaklynn. Sisters: Rosamond Blake, Evelyn Rose and Ruth (Jordon ) Hope; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marina was predeceased by her husband of 51 years: Archie Best; parents: Jane and Arthur Hopkins; sisters: Linda Hopkins and Katherine Hopkins; brothers: Job (Dora) Hopkins, and Ronnie Hopkins.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, from the United Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL starting at 11:00 am with Rev Alice Moores officiating.
Interment will be on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 in Mud Lake, NL.
