William was born in Port Hope Simpson, Labrador but lived in Rexons Cove and Williams Harbor for most of his life. His wife ran one of the local stores in Williams Harbour. William always did his part to support his family, he was a fisherman, collector, worked with Bowaters and spent a short time in Goosebay as a short order cook. In 2017 the community of Williams Harbour was relocated, they then chose Port Hope Simpson to spend the rest of their days together.
The family would whole heartly like to thank Dad’s homecare workers Harley, Roxanne and Marjorie. The wonderful nurses at our clinic here in Port Hope Simpson, Joanne, Joy, and Dawn. Your thoughtful caring ways during the past couple months gave so much comfort to him and his family. And thank you to all who shared a caring hand. A true icon of Labrador. Your knowledge and wisdom will continue on in all the stories you’ve shared to family and friends.
May angels lead you home.
