It is with sadness that the family of the late Francis (Xavy) Alexander announce his peaceful passing on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 89 years.

He leaves to mourn sons: Paul (Lynn), Ron, Stephen (Andree); grandchildren: Jonathon, Samantha (Tyler) Morgan, Taylor and James; great-grandchildren: Beckett, Brooks, Beau and Benson; brother, Fintan (Anne Marie); sister, Stella; sister-in-law, Heather and a large circle of nieces, nephew’s, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Marg (Gabriel); parents: Jim and Teresa; sisters: Odelle and Lillian; brothers: Davy and Ben and by his grandson Christopher.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 37 West Street, Stephenville Crossing on Thursday, August 21^st 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where a wake service will be held with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
