1940 – 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick Curnew announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the age of 84 years.

Left to mourn: Margaret (Gerald) Young, Robert (Doris), Brendan (Rhonda), Lawrence (Jean); sister-in-law Yvonne; niece and godchild Sheila LaCosta whom he lived with for the last 21 years as well a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents: Arthur Joseph and Anne Mary Curnew; brothers: Ralph and Joe; sisters: Kathleen Prosper and Cecelia LaCosta; brothers-in-law: Henry Prosper and Jack LaCosta.

Pat loved the outdoors where you could always find him either splitting or piling wood. He also loved berry picking and at  5:30 p.m. everyday watching the evening news.

In fulfilling his wishes, cremation will take place.   Inurnment will take place at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of ones' choice.
