Obituary of Archibald Rumbolt

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Archibald Rumbolt announces his passing on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, at the Labrador South Health Centre, Forteau, NL, at the age of 85 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Marie Rumbolt; daughter, Nina Rumbolt-Pye (Lewis); grandchildren, Desmond James Pye (Pamela Williams), Whitney Mina Pye (Wayne Russell); great-grandchildren, Ashton Archibald Pye, Ronan Donald Russell, and Liam Lewis Russell; brother, Clarence Rumbolt; sisters, Mildred Stead, Dorothy Rumbolt, and Violet Campbell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Archibald was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Fanny Rumbolt; brothers, Roy Rumbolt and John Rumbolt; and sister, Rita Chiodo.

Friends and family may visit St. Mary the Virgin Anglican church, Mary’s Harbour, NL, on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, and Friday, August 8th, 2025.

The funeral service will take place at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Mary’s Harbour, NL, on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Jennifer Rumbolt officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Anglican church. 

The Rumbolt family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Labrador Grenfell Health in Mary’s Harbour, St. Anthony, and Forteau.
