CYNTHIA JOY HEPDITCH
May 5, 1967– August 6, 2025

With much sadness, the family of Cynthia Joy Hepditch (“Cindy”) announce her passing, at Western Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Corner Brook, on August 6, 2025, surrounded by loving family.

Cindy had a joyful spirit, the kindest heart, and remarkable courage. Celebrating Cindy’s life with much love and cherished memories are her husband, Aidan, with whom she shared 32 years; her mother Edna Butler; her siblings Walter Butler (Melissa) and Emily Butler (Shawn); her sisters Wanda Walsh (Keith), Sheila Greene (Garland), Sandra Hamilton, Jackie Hampton (David), and Kim Andrews (Terry); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; and her sisters-in-law Regina Hepditch-Vardy (Darrell), Maureen Anderson (Frank), Margaret Hepditch (Steve), Arlene d’Eon (Bennett), and Anne Hepditch (Robert).

Cindy will be missed by countless friends, colleagues, and customers of Sobey’s in Corner Brook, where she worked for more than 30 years. Cindy’s kind and caring neighbours, who thought so highly of Cindy, and on whom Cindy knew she could rely, will surely miss seeing her smiling face in the neighbourhood.

Cindy was predeceased by her brothers, Milton Kennedy and Kerry Kennedy; her Mom and Dad – Shirley and Bobby Kennedy; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marie and John Hepditch; her aunt, Elaine Coombs; her cousin, Alice Coombs; and her brother-in-law and cherished friend, Paul Hamilton (Sandra), who passed away just days before Cindy’s death.

Cindy’s remains will be cremated. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook, on Monday, August 11, from 7-9 p.m., and Tuesday, August 12, from 10-11 a.m. Immediately following Tuesday’s visitation, family and friends are invited to celebrate Cindy’s life at a service taking place at the Fillatre’s Funeral Home chapel from 11 a.m. to noon. A reception will follow the service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Newfoundland and Labrador Special Olympics (Western Region – Corner Brook Vikings), a food bank in any area, or another charity of one’s choice.

For those who are unable to attend the service, a livestream will be available at the following link: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=cd162558-d0c6-469a-bb1a-0cf1fdf9ce6d
