It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret (Peggy) Dorothy Downey announce her passing on Tuesday, August 19^th at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL at the age of 69 years.

She leaves to mourn her husband Thomas(Tommy) Bennett; siblings: Timothy(Timmy) Downey, Justin Downey, Madonna Downey(David Morris),Regionald(Reggy) Downey( Kathy Hawkins Downey), Richard(Ricky) Downey(Veronica), James Downey, Patrick Downey(Leonora Bennett), Cathy Lee Downey; children: Veronica Webb(Casey Hoskins), Matthew Webb( Sheryl Webb), Robert Webb; grandchildren: EmileeWebb, Jerika Webb, Branson Webb, Kaylee Webb(Logan Jesso) and  Tonia Cormier as well many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents: Raymond and Catherine Downey; sister: Patricia Pederson; brother: Paul Downey.

Following her wishes cremation will take place.

Peggy was a kind and thoughtful soul, who enjoyed countless mornings waking up with the birds. She always enjoyed the simplicity of nature and watching the sunrise in the mornings. Hunting and going on quad was always something she was so fond of, always making sure she had a lunch packed to take on her adventures. Peggy had a laugh that radiated like no other, she never failed to light up the room with her smile. She will be remembered by all who had the opportunity and pleasure of knowing her.

The family would like to thank her worker Rosie White for everything, as well her best friend Sally Tobin for the beautiful years of friendship.

A special thank you for all the care and compassion to the medical teams at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville and the medical teams at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook.
