It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lena Margaret Crocker announce her passing on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the age of 93 years. Lena was born in Gillams, then moved to Cox’s Cove at a young age where she resided and raised her family. Lena loved going to her trailer and helping her husband in the woods. When she wasn’t in the woods you would find her knitting or in the kitchen where she loved to bake. Lena had 3 little fur babies Kitty, Fluffy and Blackie who she dearly loved.

She leaves to mourn her children: Warren (Phoebe), Quincy (Tawnya) and Quentin (Lisa); daughters-in-law: Doris (Lyle) Crocker and Rosalita (Ivan) Crocker; her grandchildren: Levina (Dan), Jamie (Marsha), Tina (Leroy), Tanya (Danny), Peggy (Rick), Michelle (Derek), Trevor (Terri-Lynn), Nicholas, Ryan and Lorne; Lena had 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters: Tilly (Fred) Pynn and Donna (Kevin) Blanchard; step-sister Doreen Lewis; step-brothers: Russell (Linda) Wells, Benny (Gloria) Wells and special uncle Gerald (Beatrice) Blanchard; as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Crocker (2012) and all of the Crocker family, her mother Lillian Wells (2020), her step-father Benjamin Wells (2006) and her father Hubert Hall, her children Hubert (2004), Arch (2018) and Levina (1963), sisters Dina (Calvin) Murrin, Cindy Wells and Geraldine Hall, step-sister Phyllis Attwood and brother Archie.

  The family would like to thank all of Lena’s homecare workers she had over the years with special thanks to Lisa for taking on more than a homecare role over the last couple of months. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit for their care during Lena’s short stay.

Visitation will be held at Sunday, August 31 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Cox’s Cove from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Orvin Canning officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Cox’s Cove.
